Starting Day 3 of the Fasting Mimicking Diet

Good Morning. 7 of us have now completed 2 days of the 5-days FMD. I can honestly say this has been easier than I thought it was going to be.

Day one was actually pretty easy. Biggest thing I learned on day one was how many times in a day I eat something. I would feel like snacking on something and I normally would without even thinking about it. I was hungry at my usual times: about 11:30 am and 6:00 pm. We prepared out. own meals following strict guidelines. Keeping calories to 1100 on day one. All calories were from plant based foods.

Day 2. I did not have any coffee. I did have Decaf green tea mixed with Bergamont (Earl Gray) tea. The bergamot tea was not decaf. skipped Breakfast and had Carrot and walnut soup for lunch. Lots of water and Decaf peppermint tea in the afternoon. I did not feel hungry until late in the afternoon. The tea helped with that. By the time I got home I received my Prolon kit from L-Nutra. This kit includes a meal plan for every day of the week. Thing color by numbers. I had the Quinoa and minestrone soup with an L-nutra bar. I did have a slight headache by the time I went to bad. I had a good night sleep.

Day 3. I got up early. Weighed in. I have gone from 191 lbs on Monday to 186.8 today. I have not had any coffee or tea and I feel energetic and clear. Today I plan to eat only what is in my Day 3 kit. It appears the other group members are feeling about the same. I will gather everyones info at the end of the week and let you know how it went.

  1. Alex,
Thanks for that update. In my mind there is no greater benefit that I can bring than that of changing someones health for the better. By teaching, guiding and coaching I have the ability to do just that. I want to live a long, healthy life, full with great relationships, excitement, travel and fun. I imagine most people would like the same. In order to have this life we first have to have health. What I want to do is not about change for a temporary period, but permanently. Like you said it is a transformation. Once you learn and experience something, you can’t “unlearn” it. My hope is that as long as I am alive I can continue to learn and teach how to get the most joy and fulfillment out of this one body we are living in.
Thank you again on your feed back on the 5-FMD.
